Beverley Wheale

Beverley Wheale Yoga Teacher

Join Bev Wheale for an 11-night yoga retreat at Kailasam this autumn.

5 – 16 November 2019

Bev is an experienced teacher. Having enjoyed her own yoga practice for 19 years and taught for nine of these. She holds a teaching diploma from the British Wheel of Yoga and has also trained in Kundalini Yoga. This was mainly for her own spiritual growth and because of her love of mantra. Her fascination with the ancient healing arts of India led her to study a foundation course in Ayurvedic Studies.

Beverley has an eclectic approach to her practice and teaching. She has had many teachers over the years, from a variety of lineages, schools and paths of yoga. She herself has attended many retreats for professional development and experience.

Bev has taught several retreats in Crete, Santorini, Turkey and Kerala. She is currently running a foundation course for the British Wheel of Yoga.

Bev says: “I am constantly in a state of development and growth. This involves evolving my practice and teaching with ‘somatic intelligence’. Back home in Lancashire, I practice and teach seasonal vinyasa-flow yoga. I try to embrace a creative and holistic approach to my teaching.”

YOGA SESSIONS

For Bev’s 11 night holiday at Kailasam we offer twice-daily yoga in two blocks of 4 days. There will usually be a longer flow session, (around 1¾ hours) in the morning, and a shorter, yin evening class (1 hour 15m).

The classes will include asana, mantra, mudra, pranayama & meditation. I like to centre thoughts with Sanskrit mantra and conclude with guided relaxations.
