Huzur Vadisi is Turkey’s longest established yoga holiday retreat, situated in a secluded mountain valley, surrounded by pine forest. It was established in 1993, as the first centre of its kind in Turkey. Seemingly in the middle of nowhere, far from the crowds, the yurt accommodation nestles amongst groves of olives and figs. This little oasis of peace in beautiful natural surroundings is simple and rustic. The yurts and the shared bathroom facilities are comfortable and beautifully maintained adding to the very special experience.

Yoga Class

At night, the valley is dark, revealing all the beauty of the night sky. Huzur Vadisi’s setting brings a deep connection with the natural world that is sure to make your yoga practice immeasurably more beneficial.

Yoga Retreat with Diana at the Eclipse and the New Moon

Huzur Vadisi is a truly magical location. Indeed it is the place that was a real ‘life-changer’ for me. It was after my first visit in 1999  that I made the decision to take a sabbatical which ended up in me travelling to Kerala, buying Kailasam Yoga and giving up ‘ the day job to follow my dream and the rest, as they say, is history…

I’m delighted to be returning here to teach again – and to introduce others to this little slice of paradise. I’ve timed the retreat to coincide with the transformative energies of the new moon in the nurturing sign of Cancer. Reputed to be the perfect time for making new starts, it’s a time of high energy. It may be that many changes have already taken place in your life, and yet there are more to come. Finding time for your own gentle retreat could really nurture and benefit you at this sensitive time.

Mountain walk.

We all need time to nurture ourselves especially when we are responsible for caring for others – family, colleagues, workers or friends. This is the ideal time, with gentle yoga, nourishing fresh food cooked with love, and plenty of time to restore and revive, resolve and heal any issues, as you walk in the pine forests, relax by the pool or while away the afternoon in a hammock. Take time to retreat now and to find your true power and strength.

The combination of transformative yoga, stunning unspoiled location, welcoming experienced staff and legendary food creates an experience for which teachers and guests have been returning year after year.Your welcoming and experienced host is Tanfer, one of the founding partners of Huzur Vadisi, and his gifted sister Sevgi is the amazing chef.

There is an excellent massage therapist on site.
